So what kinds of pets do I own?

I found another wonderful Spark over at SocialSpark that was posted by SugaryKisses.com. For those of you who might be wondering just what a Spark is, they’re completely free-of-charge topics that other people make that you can blog about in your own blog in case you’re stuck for something to post. Although I’m usually not stuck for posts a good lot of the time, I do like some of the Sparks that they have posted enough to want to take them and post them in one of my blogs! Especially this one here, because I honestly love animals…

Anyways… I own and have owned many pets, to be completely honest with you guys. My son has a bloodhound puppy named Sadie who’s only about two and a half years old, and she’s been trained since before his birth how to behave around him to the point where she lets him crawl and step all over her without so much as raising a single eyebrow. Whenever someone comes to my door that we don’t know, Sadie will immediately stand in front of my son as if she’s protecting him; when she does this, she’s completely relaxed, though, but will spring to action and bark at salespeople whenever they don’t read the sign on my front door that says that I don’t buy anything from those people. Jason loves his puppy quite dearly, and he’s told me that Sadie is his best friend.

I also own two guinea pigs, too. I used to own their mother and father, and one of their siblings, when I was in high school… but the father guinea pig died of old age when I was four months pregnant, the mother guinea pig died when Jason was approximately ten years old and the first of the baby guinea pigs died in her sleep one morning of what we can only assume was old age as well. My mother also has a parrot who’s jovial and very well-behaved, we have two cockatiels, and I have a hutch out in the backyard that houses a turtle and two toads. The latter come and go as they please; Sadie knows to leave them alone whenever they’re hopping around on our patio. They don’t mind Sadie!
