Have you heard about this?
Friday, October 30, 2009 18:47Lung cancer is an important issue to me, because my grandmother and my son’s great-grandmother died of lung cancer when she was seventy-five years old. Although she didn’t die of mesothelioma, I’ve been hearing a lot of scary things about cancer caused by asbestos on the news and on the internet, so I decided to post something about it here. For those of you that don’t know, mesothelioma is a form of lung cancer that’s caused by inhaling asbestos fibers. Because of that, it is primarily industrial and occupational. It is named as such because tumors begin to grow in the mesothelium, which is the membrane that covers and protects the lungs. In addition, it can grow in either the outer lining of the lungs or the lining of the abdominal cavity.
