Are you on a low to moderate carbohydrate diet?
Tuesday, February 12, 2013 21:29Having begun to take what are frequently called “maintenance medicines” for my asthma, I’ve found that maintaining a diet moderately low in carbohydrates has prevented me from gaining weight as a result of the regimen. Because of this, I’ve taken to watching more of what I eat in general, comparing what I consume to the daily recommended value and adjusting as needed. However, until recently I thought I would just have to skimp out on some of my favorite foods… and one of those would happen to be peanut butter. Yes, it was from me that both of my sons inherited the fondness for peanut butter, but I digress.
At any rate, I didn’t even know that places like bell plantation peanut butter made low-carbohydrate peanut butter. Seriously. I just thought I would just have to give the food up on a lot of days so as to stay within my allotment of “not consuming enough carbs to begin to bloat”. But seriously, yes, I can have peanut butter again! There aren’t enough words to describe how awesome that is, or how awesome foods like these are, to people like me that have to be careful consuming carbohydrates. Check that site out! Seriously!
