Sure, I’m not the biggest fan in the world of soccer games… but let’s face facts here. I have two sons. Both of them love games that have balls in them. It should only follow suit that in a few years, both of them are going to wind up liking soccer. And to bring up something noteworthy, I was on my high school’s junior varsity soccer team until an injury to the blood vessel on top of my foot prevented me from participating in practices and ultimately led to my decision to quit the team. Not only did I feel like I wasn’t going to be able to give it my all for most of that season, but the asthma problems that I was also having at the time made it increasingly more difficult for me to keep pace with my peers. But I take comfort in the fact that neither one of my sons happen to be exhibiting any of the respiratory issues that I did, sometimes do… and that if they want to, they’ll be able to play the sport of their choice one day without going through what I had to go through.
